In Harm's Way (1965)

In Harm's Way is a 1965 war drama directed by Otto Preminger. The film stars John Wayne, Kirk Douglas, and Patricia Neal. Franchot Tone portrays the CINCPAC (which is Navy shorthand for Commander-In-Chief, Pacific) .

Franchot is only present in a few scenes, but his performance is effective. I enjoyed watching John Wayne and Franchot in their scene together.

Admittedly, this is not one of my favorite films of Franchot's career. That is not because of Franchot's performance. It's fantastic. I'm just not a huge fan of war movies. Franchot only made 2 more films following this one. He would die of cancer just three years after this film was released. I recommend this film to anyone who is a fan of director Otto Preminger's work and enjoys war-based action and drama.
